Sustainable Homes
We aspire to create sustainable communities, designed to inspire. In Belbroughton and across our portfolio, we are reducing our carbon emissions throughout the construction process and, of course, delivering sustainable and efficient homes which are fit for the future.
Delivering sustainable communities is at the core of what we do at Spitfire. Our new homes come with future-proofed, sustainable features, to help make our home meet the demands of modern life.

Biodiversity and the Environment
Biodiversity is at the heart of Spitfire Homes’ designs, ensuring that the development improves the ecological value of the site. As part of this commitment to nature, our proposals for Bradford Lane will achieve a Biodiversity Net-Gain of at least 10% through off-site ecological regeneration as well as on-site improvements and habitat creation.
Existing trees and hedgerows will be retained where possible and additional planting will take place around the borders of the site. To ensure privacy for residents, a new planted buffer will be created around the boundary creating a fragmented build line at the edge of the site.
Swales and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) will be located throughout the site to manage flooding and surface run-off, while providing wetlands for local fauna and flora. In addition to this, pocket green spaces have been included to intertwine the new neighbourhood with the neighbouring countryside. A sizeable green strip will run along the south of the site, providing space for recreation and wildlife.
